Early this term,听Holy Family Primary School, Merewether听Beach鈥檚听community听came together to celebrate听and farewell听their much-loved Principal, Ann Jackson,听in the spirit of family and听strong nurturing community that Ann built over her time at Holy Family.听听
Those in attendance included听members of Ann鈥檚 family and听former colleagues from听previous听schools, including听MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale.听
Coming together in the school hall,听students and staff shared words of gratitude,听reflection听and听shared听learnings from their time together with Ann 鈥撎齛rticulating听how her presence and听leadership created听a听strong听sense听of belonging for staff and students.听听
Ann鈥檚 time at Holy Family Primary School was听faced with the challenges of the pandemic and infrastructure changes,听but as students and staff听reflected, her leadership and determination听ensured听that all at the school had the resources听they needed to succeed in their听goals.听听
Students听reflected on听their many memorable highlights听and听shared in听song听to say one last farewell to their听Principal.听This moment not only provided an emotional farewell,听but听it听also听reflected the community and charism of Holy Family Primary School 鈥� a place in which everyone is encouraged to love, learn and serve.听听
